Cheesy Sausage-Stuffed Tomato Delight


  • 7-8 tomatoes (scoop out the inside)
  • Olive oil
  • Balsamic vinegar
  • Shredded cheese (Colby Jack, mozzarella, and smoked white cheddar)
  • 1 lb ground sausage
  • Seasonings for sausage (pepper, garlic, basil, oregano)
  • Parsley (for garnish)


  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
  2. Prepare the Tomatoes:
    • Cut the tops off the tomatoes and scoop out the insides.
    • Brush each tomato with a mixture of olive oil and balsamic vinegar.
  3. Cheese Layers:
    • Place a layer of shredded Colby Jack cheese at the bottom of each tomato.
    • Cook 1 lb of ground sausage, seasoned with pepper, garlic, basil, and oregano.
    • Stuff the cooked and drained sausage into the hollowed-out tomatoes.
  4. Top with Cheese:
    • Add a layer of shredded mozzarella and smoked white cheddar on top of the stuffed tomatoes.
  5. Bake:
    • Bake at 350 degrees until the cheese is melted.
  6. Broil:
    • Broil for about 4 minutes to achieve a golden, bubbly top.
  7. Garnish:
    • Garnish the stuffed tomatoes with fresh parsley.
  8. Serve:
    • Plate and enjoy your delicious sausage and cheese stuffed tomatoes!
